What is the role?

As a Quality Engineer within our ranks, you will play a pivotal role in reshaping the landscape of the gas sector while advancing your own professional journey.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring, controlling and coordinating quality assurance and control activities in the delivery of a variety of modular packages to the Gas Transmission and Distribution sector.
  • Support the Project Manager and/or Project Engineers to write appropriate Inspection and Test Plans for each assigned, then monitor and ensure they are signed off at each required stage.
  • Work with Project Managers, Engineers, and Manufacturing to prioritize tasks and workflow.
  • Coordination, generation and implementation of improvement plans within the process.
  • Conduct Project documentation and process audits at facility and Sites to ensure compliance to standards and Client specifications and internal procedures.
  • Coordinate and lead mid-project and post-project lessons learned feeding back to the business as toolbox talks/feedback sessions as necessary.
  • Work with Project Support Officers and Client to ensure data books are completed to the level of quality and timeliness required.
  • Ensure build paperwork is progressed correctly, auditing as necessary in line with procedures.
  • Coordinating factory third party inspections (i.e. DSEAR) and ensuring Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) documentation is completed to the standard required at facility and Sites.
  • Promote and enforce the NCR system to ensure non-conformances, internal and Supplier issues, and corrective actions are documented and closed.
  • Work with the Site Teams to ensure processes, inspections, and documentation are compliant to standards and Client specifications and internal procedures.
  • Assist with the maintenance of the QHSE Management System to ensure compliance to standards and internal procedures.
  • Promote continuous improvement in the business to reduce Cost of Non-Quality.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent in a Quality or Engineering related discipline.
  • Experience in Quality Management standards (particularly ISO9001, ISO/IEC 80079- 34).
  • Previous experience in a quality engineer, quality assurance, or related role
  • Auditor qualification and experience.
  • Experience in Quality Assurance in the Engineering / Manufacturing industry.
